Our favourite albums of 2011 and why we loved them (plus, vote for your Top 10 albums of the year)It’s that time of year when arts and culture publications release their year-end best-of lists — perhaps the most contentious of which is the one listing the best albums of the year. Choosing the list is a highly unofficial and highly contested process, involving trails of email and a good deal of banter, but no matter what we end up with, it’s always up for (heated) debate. It is with that last point in mind that we’re mixing thing up this year, presenting you with a list of our National Post contributors’ 42 favourite albums, and leaving it up to you to choose the best of the bunch. Here’s how it works: You’ll find our list of favourites at the click through (which are listed in no particular order), along with our writers’ defenses for their respective faves. After you’re done considering your options, click here to vote for your Top 10 albums of 2011.
