Adele’s Brit Awards middle finger and five other notable bird-flippings on TV
Crass though Adele’s gesture may be, it’s not the first time this year a singer has raised a one-finger salute on live television — in February, singer M.I.A. gave a middle finger during the Super Bowl, much to the consternation of CBS and Madonna alike.
